Michael was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and takes pride in his Xicanx heritage with roots from México to northern New Mexico. He is currently the New Mexico Data & Targeting Manager for VVN. Michael has worked for 15 years on engaging New Mexicans in political electoral processes. He was the Political Organizer at the SouthWest Organizing Project for five years. In 2011, he chaired the Redistricting Committee for the City of Albuquerque and he has advised or run several candidate campaigns. While at the University of New Mexico earning a BA in Languages, he worked in community outreach at the Resource Center for Raza Planning. Michael is an unabashed nerd who enjoys connecting with people through technology and social media. He also enjoys wine, local craft beer and traveling, especially when he gets to speak a language he has studied.
